In Your Face x 7 (moved from News Flash on 4-13-12)

It’s bad enough that members of our community were virtually snatched from our midst, often apparently against their will and/or against the will of their families or guardians.

It’s bad enough that NYS carried out its nefarious operations under cloak of secrecy, disrespecting both the Town of Middlesex government, as well as all the community.

It’s bad enough that the FLDDSO representatives ignored our concerns, spat on our protests, flaunted their power,  like some totalitarian regime.

It’s bad enough that the Governor of NYS postured and continued to posture that he puts “people first” and pledges so much openness that he has to pass budgets in the middle of the night.

It’s bad enough that at the very time people were being misled, lied to or kept in the dark that a PERMIT had ALREADY been granted by NYS to do work on a residence for which people didn’t even know it presupposed their moving.  (See date on permit shown below).

It’s bad enough that for all this work, those who had belonged there for years were being split up as a group to their dismay and their home being prepared to accommodate sex offenders.

It’s bad enough that, amidst the secrecy, apparently no requests for quotes to do the work were issued to local companies so as to employ their people to do the work.

The Gestapo didn’t have much more secrecy than what we’ve seen under this administration, or much less  concern for people than we’ve seen in shutting the MDC, or much more arrogance than we’ve seen from the FLDDSO,  or much more “in your face” than moving sex offenders into a home for the developmentally disabled, when 12,000 people statewide remain on a waiting list for residences.

Shame on NYS.  Shame on this Governor.  It’s our tax dollars at work.  (Click on pictures to enlarge.)
